Michigan’s 2007 VIRTUAL Stallion Service Auction
Wednesday, January 10, 2007
The American Saddlebred Horse Association of Michigan (ASHAM) is excited to announce the revival of the ASHAM Stallion Service Auction, but with a new twist. The 2007 Stallion Service Auction has gone virtual. It is being held completely online. Bidders never have to leave the comfort of their homes and can get continuous updates by clicking on www.ASHAM.org. For those who are computer “challenged”, ASHAM has contact people to phone for up-to-date information, available stallions, bid amounts, placing a bid on a stallion, etc.
ASHAM also announces the new show location for the ASHAM Weanling Futurity. The resulting class from the 2007 Virtual Stallion Auction will be included in the October 2008 ASHAM Show held at the Michigan State University Pavilion in Lansing, MI. This is a wonderful, state of the art facility that is heated and all under one roof. Exhibitors can even drive their trailers right to their stalls and unload, meaning that foals will never have to be out in the cold. It’s a great place to have baby classes! The Weanling Jackpot Class will also continue to be held at the ASHAM Show in 2007 and 2008 (see the web site for detailed information).
Bids are now being accepted and will continue until Feb, 15, 2007. Stallion service donations will be accepted until the last day. For details, please log on to www.ASHAM.org and click on the Michigan Stallion Auction link on the left side bar or e-mail SaddlebredAssociationofMichigan@hotmail.com. Additional contacts are Roxanne Feldkamp at (517) 448-8621 or Heidi Husted at (810) 636-6770.
