In Memory - Laura Hill Hanson




Laura Susan Hill Hanson, 44, of Huntington, W.Va., died at her home August 11, 2005. She was born in Lake Charles, La., daughter of Richard Z. Hill Jr. and Marian J. Perry Jones.

 

She was employed by Dr. Marsha Anderson as a horse trainer and barn manager.

 

Laura graduated from Huntington High School, where she was in the high school band and school jazz band. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and served as treasurer for the West Virginia Saddlebred Breeders Futurity Association and was a member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association.

 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Peyton A. Hanson; son Jerome Joseph Roubieu III and daughter Elisabeth Deyele Hanson, both of Huntington, and three sisters, Elisabeth A. Hill, Lorraine K. Hill and Angel Hill-Haagen, all of Lexington, Ky.

 

According to her wishes, she was cremated. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington. A gathering of friends in the connector after the service. Busch-Kimes Funeral Home of Elizabeth, W.Va., is serving the Hanson family.
