LSU Vet School to Host Equine Artificial Insemination Workshop



 

The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is hosting an Equine Artificial Insemination Workshop for Owners and Breeders.  The dates are January 28-29, and the cost is $325 before Jan. 14 and $350 after Jan. 14. This workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully perform artificial insemination with both fresh and cooled semen. In addition, the proper handling and preparation of semen for transport will be discussed to enable participants to provide this service.  Training in rectal palpation is not included in this course.  Instructors are Faculty of the Department of Theriogenology, School of Veterinary Medicine.
