Louise Ray, wife of UPHA Hall of Fame trainer Junior Ray and mother of the late Tony Ray for whom the UPHA Young Trainers Award has been named, passed away from complications of stomach cancer on Saturday, January 30, 2009.

A wake will be held at Minor - Morris Funeral Home at 112 Richards Street in Joliet, IL on Friday, February 6 from 11 a.m until 3 p.m. A visitation will follow at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.   A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. there at the church, 1404 S. Briggs Street in Joliet, IL.

On Saturday February 7, the burial service will be held in Joliet and then a luncheon will be held in her honor at a "to be announced" location in the Lockport area.
