Kentucky Horse Council Natural Pleasure Class




The Kentucky Horse Council is pleased to announce the participating shows for the 2007 Kentucky Horse Council Natural Pleasure Class. This class is open to Saddlebred or Saddlebred-type horses; and follows the same general rules as Saddlebred English Country Pleasure EXCEPT the horse must be plain shod, with non-weighted shoes and the tail must appear to not have been cut or set. Cross-entry is allowed at same show only in hunter or western pleasure performance classes and all academy classes.

Lexington Lions Bluegrass Fair, July 21, 2007, Lexington, KY
Western KY Saddlebred Assoc. Horse Show, August 4, 2007, Cadiz, KY
BWS Mid-Summer Classic, August 11, 2007, Louisville, KY
KASPHA KY State Championship, September 15, 2007, Shelbyville, KY

The Kentucky Horse Council provides a trophy, ribbons and sponsor fee to the shows offering these classes. Although any qualified entry may participate, members of the Kentucky Horse Council can accumulate points towards a year-end high point award. To be eligible for this award the horse owner must be a member of the Kentucky Horse Council. Points accumulate from the date membership is received.

Suzanne Meeks received an award after her American Saddlebred horse, Wild Fire Jewels, was named 2006 KHC Natural Pleasure High Point champion. Suzanne and Wild Fire took home blue ribbons in KHC Natural Pleasure at three participating shows in 2006.
