Judy Steenhoek, popular Iowa Saddlebred trainer and exhibitor, was killed at her farm while working a horse, a victim of a kick to the head. Her friend Ed was with her at the time and remained by her side until the emergency responders arrived.
She had recently returned from showing at the Great River Benefit.
Services will be held at St. Bridgette Catholic Church in Victor, Iowa on Saturday the 23rd, with visitation at 10:00, services will begin at 11. A luncheon will follow to celebrate Judy's life.
