Joe Elam and I'm Something Wicked
Following a battle with cancer, Joe Elam, 47, passed away today surrounded by his family in North Carolina. Most recently with Julie Kaufman’s Blue Willow Farm, Versailles, Ky., Elam is the noted trainer of many stars such as World’s Champion I’m Something Wicked, Reserve World’s Champion Helen’s Charm, World’s Champion Buckwheat, World’s Champion Of Champions Ninety-Eight Degrees, Reserve World’s Champion I’m Mr. Blue, and World’s Champions Bewitching Jewel, My Main Man and The Tango Dancer.
Elam is survived by his eight-year-old son Alex. Additionally two sisters and a brother, all from North Carolina, survive him.
