Janeen R. "Jann" Currie, 63, of Peru, passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Winfield, Illinois.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 19 at St. Joseph’s Church, Peru with Rev. Harold Datzman, OSB officiating. Burial will be in the Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Ms. Currie was born August 13, 1946 in LaSalle to Hugh and Ruth (Amsler) Currie. She was a management consultant, ran a 501C3 charity, owned and operated Gran Pet Team in Granville and she was Vice President of systems at CIGNA Insurance. Ms. Currie was a member of Elysian Fields JMARE, not for profit to take care of old Morgan horses, and a member of the American Morgan Horse Association.
She is survived by 2 brothers; James Currie of Peru and Scott (Gretchen) Currie of Granville; 1 sister, Eloise (Ellie) Currie of Winfield, IL; and 4 nephews, Trevor Currie of Peru, Samuel, Adam and Nicholas Currie of Granville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a niece.
