Indianapolis Charity Horse Show News
Tuesday, February 27, 2007
The Indianapolis Charity Horse Show 2007 dates are May 30 through June 2. The horse show has benefited the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund since 1995 and the show is proud that, with a great deal of assistance from local corporations in the form of corporate sponsorships and other means, we have been able to donate in excess of $171,000 to our charity. This has enabled the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund to grant wishes to many children facing critical illnesses and sometimes lengthy and painful treatments and given them a bright spot in their lives. This charity is not affiliated with any other wish-granting organization and grants wishes to Indiana children referred to them by various children’s hospitals, doctors and social workers.
The West Pavilion, where the show will be held, in addition to being able to provide space for hundreds of portable box stalls, has a large ring that serves as a working area and make-up ring. Entrants go from the make-up ring through a covered aisle-way to the show ring without being exposed to any inclement weather. This building also has an area for the farriers as well as the horse show office, rest room, showers, wash racks for the horses and a cafeteria. The South Pavilion also is equipped with hundred of portable box stalls and has easy access to the make-up ring and to the covered outside ring.
Free donuts and coffee are available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. along the make-up ring from Tuesday morning through Friday morning. Exhibitors’ parties are held after the evening performances on Thursday and Friday.
