Important Saddlebred Events Upcoming



 

Lexington, Kentucky ­– The Wisconsin Limited Breeders’ Stallion Service Auction, the United Professional Horsemen’s Association Young Horse Preview, the All American Cup Auction and Stallion Review and Bluegrass Futurity Stallion Auction are all rapidly approaching.

The UPHA inaugural Young Horse Preview is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 7 p.m. ET at Rock Creek Riding Club’s indoor facility in Louisville, KY.  The event will feature over 40 of the top two-, three- and four-year-old American Saddlebred, Hackneys and Morgans from some of the industry’s leading breeders and trainers.  Tickets are $30 each and include dinner.  For more information on entries, tickets, reservations and sponsorships contact Chad Graham via e-mail at gsinger32480@yahoo.com or call (859) 621-5531.  The UPHA Young Horse Preview is not a public auction and any sales are private.

 

Friday, January 19 begins the All American Cup Stallion Review and Auction.  An early breakfast at Claudia Sanders Restaurant in Shelbyville, KY is followed by tours of ten famous American Saddlebred farms.  The tours run both Friday and Saturday and are available for $28 per person.  Friday night offers the free All America Cup Colt Training Seminar and Clinic by Jim Aikman, along with “How to Get Your Mare in Foal” presented by Dr. Scott Bennett.  The service auction and buffet dinner is Saturday night at Claudia Sanders.  Tickets are $30 each.  For more information contact Jim Aikman at (317) 862-4341 or email allamericancup@yahoo.com.

 

The Bluegrass Futurity Stallion Auction follows Sunday, January 20 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, KY.  The auction is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Keeneland’s Phoenix Room.  Over 92 stallion services have been donated to date.  The cost is $30 per person and reservations must be made by Monday, January 15.  For more information visit bluegrassfuturity.com, or contact Melissa Moore at (859) 873-9129 or email mmoore8059@aol.com
