The United Professional Horsemen's Association is proud to partner with Equidae Insurance to bring you the fourth installment in the interactive webinar series. Our next webinar will be presented by Julie Fershtman of Foster Swift law firm and her topic: “Horse Sense in a Litigious World. Let’s Talk About That," this webinar focuses on legal advice for the professional horseman and will be held live Tuesday, April 6th, at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Julie is one of the nation’s leading counselors and litigators in Equine Law. Her practice crosses all equine breeds and disciplines and serves stables, insurers, industry professionals, associations, and businesses across the United States. Her expertise includes contract law as well as business, fraud, and insurance litigation. 

Julie’s professional distinctions are many and include selection as the 2016 “Woman of the Year” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, recipient of the ABA’s 2017 “Excellence in the Advancement of Animal Law Award,” and listing in The Best Lawyers in America, 2013-2021. Julie has also served on such boards as the American Youth Horse Council and the Equine Land Conservation Resource, and she is extremely active in both the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association ruling boards. 

Julie is also the author of four books, including Equine Law and Horse Sense which was published by the American Bar Association in 2019, and is a recipient of three national book awards. Julie has written more than 400 articles on Equine Law and is published in many magazines with which you would be familiar but are too numerous to list.

We at UPHA are VERY fortunate to be able to hear Julie speak today. Her experience and knowledge in Equine Law are something from which every professional horseman can benefit.
