Hackneys to Appear at BreyerFest

BreyerFest British Invasion will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park  Friday-Sunday, July 20-22, 2012.  A little bit of London will be brought to Lexington in honor of the Olympics!

The American Hackney Horse Society will have a promotional booth with brochures, posters, DVDs and magnets available.  A showcase of rare British Breeds such as the hackney pony Heartland High Tech a Breyer Portrait model will be featured.  Helen Rosburg owner will drive her beautiful pony each day and also be available for autographs.  Several AHHS members will be demonstrating the beauty and versatility of their hackney horses and ponies each day.  Stables scheduled to appear are Shamrock Farm, Smithfield, KY; Lowry Stables, Davis Junction, IL, Hillcroft Farm, Paris, KY; Nicole Laver, Midway, KY; Werkway Stables, Georgetown, KY; Frickey Farms, Inc., Shelbyville, KY; Galbreath Stables, Flemingsburg, KY; Equus Farm, Nicholasville, KY and Charlie Poppe, Batavia, OH.

Other featured models will include CH Sprinkles, Lil Ricky Rocker and Taskin.  All in all, some 40+ live horse acts will enliven the Covered Arena. Headliners include Shane Adams & Knights of Valour, Tommie Turvey and Sylvia Zerbini!  Shane will be bringing some of his cast-mates from Full Metal Jousting

BreyerFest will also feature:  Pony rides, exotic petting zoo, huge craft and activity area (free for all kids), the Amazing Portable Circus, meet & greets with guests, Trade Show, Bit of British theme store, a new Hands On Hobby Booth, model horse shows, workshops, free seminars, cricket demos (courtesy of Kentucky United Cricket), dog agility and Kentucky Shakespeare (performing a different play each day).  Plus lots of contests (hair fascinator contest and Best of Britain dioramas), raffles, a Silent Auction and a Live Auction!

BritBeat, America’s Premier Beatles Tribute Band, will rock the house Saturday Evening at the Alltech Arena. Doors Open at 6:30 pm and the concert begins at 7:30 PM.
