A reminder to those planning to attend this year's Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show. Show entries must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, August 12 or received by Tuesday, August 19. Entries received after August 19 will be accepted as post entries. If sending to be received by August 19, please be sure to use a courier that guarantees overnight delivery. ??Show entries should be sent to Show Secretary Peggy Hatfield, 2215 E. 93rd Street N, Valley Center, Kansas 67147, phone/fax (316) 755-0395. ??This year's Grand National will take place October 11-18 and will be a horse show to remember! American Horse Council Formally Requests USDA Delay New HPA Regulations
The following is a news release from the American Horse Council regarding the new Horse Protection Act rule set to go into effect February 1, 2025. In addition to the AHC’s request, three plaintiffs have challenged the rule in federal court in Amarillo, Texas. A decision in that lawsuit should come prior to the February 1 effective date, which could render the rule invalid and all or some of its provisions not valid and not implemented. Read More
