Glendale Stables LLC Hosts Their First Meet and Eat Picnic
Tuesday, July 25, 2006
Glendale Stables hosted their first Meet and Eat Picnic on July 8, 2006. Family, friends, and customers of Glendale Stables enjoyed a catered picnic to celebrate summer.
Trainer Kent Swalla and wife Stacey, along with the Glenn Family, hosted the event at John and Maxine Glenn’s beautiful historic home, located on the Glendale family farm. Customers from as far as St. Louis and Kansas City attended the event, with special guest Kathy (Wallberg) Anderson flying in from Texas to surprise Kent and Stacey.
Kids young and old enjoyed playing horseshoes, volleyball, and croquet during the evening. Dad’s Barbeque in Fulton, Mo., catered the event with plenty of pulled pork, barbequed chicken, potato salad, and pasta salad. Chef John Glenn handled grilling the brats and hotdogs for everyone’s enjoyment. Cake Creations, also of Fulton, designed a wonderful white and chocolate sheet cake with the Glendale Stables’ new logo for dessert. The tables were decorated with balloons and beautiful sunflowers grown on the family farm (approximately 7 acres of sunflowers to be exact). The weather held, and it was a beautiful evening for a picnic.
Glendale Stables LLC is located in northeast Columbia, Mo. The event was great fun, and plans for ‘07 are already under way!
