Future Show Ring Stars Abound at Hart to Hart Stables

Wyatt and Christine DeHart, of Hart To Hart Stables in Finchville, Ky., have worked hard, and with much success, to make their presence known in the Saddlebred industry. They've continued that endeavor by putting several top entries in the ring at Kentucky Spring Premier.

But it is their exciting stallion Powerful Charm LCC that has launched them into the breeding industry with such success. Horses bred, raised and shown by Wyatt DeHart have graced the winner's circle in virtually every division for many years. With the large number of mares in foal to their impeccably bred young stallion, Hart to Hart Stables is working hard to establish a reputation as a major player in the breeding industry as well.

Sired by WGC Santana’s Charm by WGC Sultan’s Santana and out of Powers Divine by RWGC Kourageous Kalu, Powerful Charm LCC is siring babies that display his top bloodlines and athletic ability.

With 32 horses in training and 19 foals already on the ground to outside mares with five more to deliver, Hart To Hart Stables is a busy place. Christine works as breeding manager in addition to being partner to Wyatt who trains the show string.

Powerful Charm LCC is owned in partnership by the DeHarts and Ron and Linda Shields. Lindsey Shields showed her mount, Spool's Top Secret to the red ribbon in the Junior Exhibitor Five-Gaited class at Kentucky Spring Premier under the Hart To Hart Stables banner. Shields wasn't the only top ribbon winner under Wyatt DeHart's direction. He rode last year's American Royal Park Pleasure Grand Champion Beware The Fox to the Park Pleasure Championship tricolor at the horse park as well. DeHart also took a reserve in the Denver/Junior Park Pleasure class with Finally A Prince for owner Richard Blake.

The Apprentice season finale show is due to air this week, but the Apprentice, the show horse, has just begun a successful campaign with DeHart in the irons. Wyatt DeHart rode to the win in the Novice Five-Gaited class for owner Robert Shields.

Both Wyatt and Christine are extremely proud of the success of Hart To Hart Stables in the show ring and have great expectations for the future show ring stars sired by Powerful Charm LCC.

The future of the American Saddlebred breeding industry has long been a topic of discussion in the industry as those interested in breeding top show stock struggle to maintain expenses and make a profit. Not to mention the sheer hard work required to manage breedings, foaling and broodmare care.

Hart To Hart Stables, with the help of a promising young stallion named Powerful Charm LCC, is committed to not only training and showing top Saddlebreds, but to breeding and raising them as well.
