FRANK OGLETREE YOUTH AWARD NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED



The 2003 American Saddlebred Horse Association Annual Meeting will be held February 21-22, at the Embassy Suites, in Lexington, Ky. During this time, outstanding members of the Association will be honored with special awards.

The Frank Ogletree Youth Award honors youths who have exhibited a true sportsmanlike attitude throughout their show careers. Guidelines for the award include:

1. Must be current ASHA Junior Member.
2. Has demonstrated an ongoing commitment and dedication to the American Saddlebred.
3. Serves as a positive role model for peers.
4. Has earned awards for accomplishments in horsemanship at local, state, or national levels of competition.
5. Exhibits all the personal characteristics that exemplify true sportsmanship principles.

The ASHA Board has announced that an ASHA Lifetime membership will be awarded to the recipient of the Frank Ogletree Award, a $1,500 value! Nominations are now being accepted for this prestigious award. If you know an outstanding young person who fits the above requirements, send your recommendations today.

All Nominations must be in writing and include the name and a brief description of why you feel he or she qualifies for this award. The deadline o submit your nominations is October 31. You may mail your letters of recommendation to:
