Exciting New Features for 2007 Minnesota Futurity Horse Show

The Minnesota Futurity Horse Show will be held September 28-30 at the Minnesota Equestrian Center in Winona, in southeastern Minnesota. The show, sponsored by the Minnesota Saddlebred Horse Association, offers many new features for exhibitors this year:

·    Now we’re USEF rated “A” in Saddlebred Pleasure and Fine Harness and “B” in ASB 3-gaited and 5 gaited, so you can earn points toward your horse’s “CH” status.  We’re the only show with an “A” rating this weekend in the region.

·    The MN Limited Breeders Weanling Stake has more than $ 23,000 in prize money this year. Plus the Open Weanling Champion wins the beautiful bronze Creative Spirit Perpetual Trophy and extra prize money.

·    There’s prize money in all Saddlebred stake classes.

·    Exhibitors and trainers are eligible to win extra cash prizes just for showing.

·    Judging will be by a three-judge panel of Susi Day, Doug Lindstrom and Tara Wentz.

·    Two Grand National classes will be offered – Open Yearling in Hand and Country Pleasure Adult Stake.

·    There will be high-point awards for adult and junior exhibitors, as well as country pleasure and show pleasure horses.

The show will be held in one of the premiere horse show facilities in the Midwest.    The Minnesota Equestrian Center, which opened in 2003, gets kudos for comfort and convenience by exhibitors. Stabling, warm up and arena are all under one roof.

Picturesque Winona sits on the Mississippi River in the southeastern corner of the state.  The show facility is conveniently located just a few miles off I-90 west of town.  Motels and restaurants are within a few miles of the facility.  And in late September you can enjoy the start of gorgeous fall colors in the rolling hills around Winona and enjoy sightseeing in this historic town.

You’ll continue to enjoy outstanding hospitality and exhibitor parties.
