Equine Obituary - (SA) Tornaado

Owned by the James Orr family’s Wrapped In Rainbows Farm and standing at Fred Sarver’s Cornerstone, the noted breeding stallion, (SA) Tornaado had to be humanely put down due to paralysis of the back end. The extremely athletic son of (SA) Vidas Yokozuna, a grandson of Stonewall Supreme, was out of the Supreme Sultan granddaughter, (SA) Keepon Sarah Lee.

Although lightly bred for a stallion his age, 19, Tornaado was known for a host of big time performers including World’s Champion Of Champions A Travelin’ Man and Kalarama’s Twister as well as World’s Champions Size Me Up, Dancing Up A Storm LLC, Tornaado’s Tidal Wave (dam of two 2010 WCs),

and Stonewall’s Serengetti, and regional champions Hollywood Electra, Dancing With The Stars, Tornaado’s Storm Warnings, She’s High Fashion and City Sky.

"The tragedy here is this horse’s popularity was just beginning to hit," said stallion manager Fred Sarver. "It was really nice of Mr. Orr to buy a stallion of this age and give him the opportunity to produce. He has some really nice young horses by Tornaado and I’m sure we’ll see several more emerge in the next few years."
