Equine Obituary...Genius Bourbon Prince



            

Melissa Moore was sad to report that Genius Bourbon Prince was euthanized January 3 at Sunrise Stables due to the infirmities of old age. He was one of the last stallions owned by Tom Moore’s Arrowhead Farm. The son of Greenway Commander and Princess Delaine (by Genius Bourbon King) was 26.

           
Genius Bourbon Prince sired 12 horses with winning ribbons at Louisville from a limited number of get. Among his stars were Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Stallion/Gelding World’s Champion My Fair Genius, Ky Futurity Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Reserve World’s Champion and Two-Year-Old Futurity World’s Champion It’s All There, Junior Fine Harness Mare and Amateur Gentlemen’s Five-Gaited Reserve World’s Champion Devoted, Three-Gaited Junior Over 15.2 Reserve World’s Champion I’m All Smiles and stakes winners Pirouette T.M. and Caramac’s News Flash.
