Equine Death

Private Entrance, the first walk and trot mount of 2003 Equitation Triple Crown winner Betty Cox and the first mount of former equitation champion Bryant Beltle, died at Woodstock Farm, February 24, 2005.

Private Entrance, "Josh", was owned by Daniel Lieberman and was 25 years old. Raised by Bill and Nancy Becker, Private Entrance established his reputation in the equitation ranks and continued to carry riders to the winner's circle throughout his life until his retirement two years ago.

"Betty [Cox} never forgave me for selling Private Entrance," said Karen Cox. "I was really thrilled when I had the opportunity to have him return to Woodstock Farm and live out the remainder of his life."

Private Entrance is buried at Woodstock Farm in Danville, Ky.
