Entries Close October 10th for the 2013 UPHA Classics Jackpot Sale



The 10th Annual UPHA Classics Jackpot Sale will be held in conjunction with the UPHA/American Royal National Championship Horse Show in Kansas City, MO., on November 14, 2013, at approximately 9:00 p.m. in Hale Arena.

The purpose of this sale is to raise jackpot money to be paid back on the national level in the UPHA Classics program, offering breeders a viable marketplace for their American Saddlebreds and Hackney Ponies. American Saddlebred Two-Year-Olds purchased through the 2013 sale will be eligible as Three-Year-Olds in 2014, to compete for the jackpot money raised from this sale. American Saddlebred Yearlings purchased through the 2013 sale will be eligible as Three-Year-Olds in 2015, to compete for jackpot money raised from this sale. Hackney Pony Three-Year-Olds purchased through the 2013 sale will be eligible as Four-Year-Olds in 2014, to compete for jackpot money raised from this sale. Hackney Pony Two-Year-Olds purchased through the 2013 sale will be eligible as Three-Year-Olds in 2014 or Four-Year-Olds in 2015, they are only eligible to compete for the jackpot money raised from this sale once. The culmination will be at the 2014 and 2015 UPHA/American Royal National Championship Horse Show, when bonus jackpot money will be awarded to the eligible horse/pony that placed the highest in the following UPHA Classics Championships:

UPHA Hackney Pleasure Driving Pony

Prize money awarded in the UPHA Classics Jackpot program so far totals over $243,000, with 10% of that total being paid back to the original consignors!

American Saddlebred Yearlings purchased through the 2013 sale will be eligible as Two-Year-Olds in 2014, to compete for added prized money in the UPHA American Royal Two-Year-Old Performance Classes, sponsored by UPHA Chapter 5. The added prized money sponsored by UPHA Chapter 5 will be awarded to the eligible horse that placed highest in the UPHA American Royal Two-Year-Old Performance Classes: Two-Year-Old Five-Gaited, Two-Year-Old Three-Gaited and Two-Year-Old Fine Harness.

American Saddlebred Yearlings will be presented through the sale in hand, and all Two-Year-Olds will be presented in the sales arena, in harness or under saddle, as they would be shown under United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) guidelines. Hackney Pony Two-Year-Olds will be presented in hand or in stud tack, Three-Year-Olds will be presented through the sales area in harness, as they would be shown under United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) guidelines.

 Entries close October 10th - NO ENTRY FEE REQUIRED - Original registration papers, photo and a completed entry blank must also be enclosed. Ten Percent (10%) of the bonus money paid at the 2014 and 2015 UPHA/American Royal National Championship Horse Shows will be awarded to the consignors of the 2013 sale entries.
