Early Bird Specials for AMHA Convention

Registration has opened for the 2013 American Morgan Horse Annual Convention, which will take place February 21-23 in Portland, Oregon.

Registering early ensures special savings! The Benson Hotel is offering a special group rate to guests of the Convention; register by January 18 to take advantage of this discount! For those making their Convention registration before February 15, there is a savings of $50! Those who make their reservations by February 13 also are eligible for a special early bird drawing!

For those arriving in town early, consider attending the Early Bird Farm Tours, Wednesday, February 20, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From 9-11, enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast at Scandia Morgan Horse Farm in St Helens, Oregon, celebrating 40 years of breeding with the Morgan breed. A lunch of grilled salmon is on the menu at Northwest Morgans, a breeding facility known for fun, smiles, and awesome show horses in Hillsboro, Oregon. Times are noon to 2 p.m. and a craft sale of Morgan pieces also will be offered at this time. For dessert and to see some wonderful show prospects and champion Morgans, visit Keith Nelsen Training Stables in Oregon City from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Maps will be available at the Convention—enjoy just one or come to all three! To RSVP or for more information, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].

From cowboy dressage, western dressage, history, and extreme trail and mountain trail riding, this Convention will have something for everyone! Farm tours to world champion farm Illahee, the annual meeting and members, and honoring the breed's top supporters are just some of the special events planned for this annual gathering of Morgan friends. The Convention is open to all! AMHA membership is not required to attend the Convention.
