Devon Horse Show Saddlebred Entries Close April 23

, Ky. ­– Entries for American Saddlebreds at the Devon Horse Show close on Monday, April 23, 2007.  For entry information, contact Ryegate Show Services at (717) 867-5643.  Saddlebred entry forms are also available online at http://www.ryegate.com/SHOWS/Devon/saddle.pdf.  The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is Thursday, May 24 through Sunday, June 3 in Devon, Pennsylvania.

 

Featured at the Devon Horse Show again this year will be “Bluegrass on the Mainline,” a party to celebrate the Saddlebred on Friday, June1, with Kentucky-inspired food, music provided by a live band and door prizes.  Among the items to be given away are six $1,000 checks, a necklace from Emily Austin, made-to-order jods by Carlos Chavez, a gift from Hermes, and a Lowen sculpture of a Carousel Saddlebred horse made by Linda Owens titled "Unbridled.”

 

Saddlebred competition incentives at Devon include Resort Condominiums International (RCI) vacation certificates awarded to the winning trainer in each of the Saddlebred stake classes, cash awards for trainers with the most entries, $1,000 scholarships awarded in the four junior exhibitor classes, and the Devon gold charm to be awarded in the ladies’ three- and five-gaited classes.
