Devon Entries to Close Soon

Once again the Saddlebred Friends of Devon have been working furiously to keep the Saddlebred/Hackney division alive and well at the prestigious Pennsylvania show which be held May 28-31 for the Saddlebred, Hackney and Roadster divisions. Devon is one of very venues still left where exhibitors can show in front of a large general public audience.

The history and ambiance are second to none and many improvements have been made on the grounds over the past two years. The Friday night exhibitor’s party is also a big hit with live music, open bar, a wonderful meal and door prizes galore.

One RCI vacation each will be awarded in the Five-Gaited, Three-Gaited, and Fine Harness Championships. Also again this year, incentive money will be awarded to the trainers brining the most horses and ponies. In addition, there are scholarship awards for junior exhibitors.

Upon arriving, exhibitors are given hospitality bags and this year they will be fabulous with a special “Outside the Ring” booklet for exhibitors. Devon has also joined in to be a part of the Pink Ribbon class program. The Ladies Five-Gaited class is designated the Pink Ribbon class.

Entries are due April 21 so contact show manager Peter Doubleday immediately or if you need more info Minna Hankin Mintz can be reached via email at Slowgait1@aol.com.
