CRHA Online Stallion Auction Line-Up Finalized

ROCKWOOD, ON - The Canadian Road Horse Association (CRHA) will once again be hosting its annual Online Stallion Auction with a terrific line-up now confirmed for 2008.  Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on March 3 and with varied closing times from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on March 9, 2008, six donated breedings to premier Ontario trotting and pacing stallions - In Conchnito, Shipps Speed, Holy Guacamolie, Western Maverick, Intrepid Seelster, and Stonebridge Regal - will be auctioned off for charity to benefit the Sick Kids Foundation, which raises and grants funds to support The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and the Canadian Road Horse Association (CRHA).

This event will run as an online/fax auction via the CRHA’s web site at www.roadhorse.ca (check it out for more details on the auction and to visit the stallions’ pages) and bids will be accepted by e-mail or fax.  To place a bid, simply send an e-mail to crhaauction@roadhorse.ca with the name of the stallion you are bidding on in the subject line.  Please provide your name and contact info, identify the stallion that you are bidding on, your bid, a telephone number where you can be reached at closing, and declare that you have read, understood, and will comply with the procedure and rules.  If you do not have access to e-mail, you may fax your bid, as above, to (905) 763-1477 or call (905) 701-0231 for more info.  All bids to be in Canadian funds in minimum $100 increments.  The successful bidder will have 15 days to submit payment in full or the breeding will revert to the second highest bidder.  Breeding arrangements will be made directly by the successful bidder with the respective breeding agent and will be subject to any terms and conditions that may apply.  There is a live foal guarantee.  Bids will be updated and posted each evening by 10:00 p.m. and every hour throughout the final day.  Check back regularly to see if your bid is tops!  The successful bid will be the highest one received for each stallion by its respective closing time on the final day.  In the event of duplicate bids on the same stallion breeding at the auction closing time, the respective bidders will be contacted by telephone and given the opportunity to raise their bid.  All decisions made by the Online Stallion Auction Chairperson are final.

Special thanks to Seelster Farms, Robert McIntosh Stable, CSX Stable, and David Boyle for their donation of a breeding service to In Conchnito; John Smith Racing Stables for Shipps Speed; Winbak Farm of Canada for Holy Guacamolie; Seelster Farms, Robert McIntosh Stables, and Angie Stiller for Western Maverick, Seelster Farms, Robert McIntosh Stable, Don McDonald, and CSX Stable for Intrepid Seelster; and Seelster Farms, Robert McIntosh Stable, Robert Kaulfman, Angie Stiller, and Dr. Calvin Stiller for Stonebridge Regal.  The CRHA is extremely grateful for their continued generosity and support of the Sick Kids Foundation and the CRHA.
