Copper Dragon Sale Set For March 31



 

Excitement abounds for the upcoming Copper Dragon Sale that will be held Saturday, March 31 at the famed TSE Tattersalls Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Ky. Some 60 head of royally bred young horses from the Dragonsmeade and Copper Beech breeding programs will be presented in two sessions.

The first session will begin at noon and is preceded by a brunch at the sales pavilion. A cocktail reception will be held prior to the evening session that begins at 7 p.m.

Corcel is the corporate sponsor of the sale and each horse purchased through the sale will receive a new show sheet. The famed team of Walt Robertson and Bill Carrington will serve as auctioneer and pedigree reader. The Hyatt Regency in Lexington is the sale’s headquarters and attendees should ask for the Copper Dragon Sale rate. Sale officials are urging people to make their reservations early as there are many things going on in Lexington that weekend. The Hyatt’s number is (859) 253-1234.

Sale coordinator Harry Sebring announced there are many top horses going through this sale. Some have already won at Oklahoma and there are several others ready to leave their mark.

A few of the highlights will include: Dragonsmeade MaxMara, 2006 World Champion Futurity Two-Year-Old Park Harness; Dragonsmeade Wild Note, an English Pleasure star; Dragonsmeade Divine Miss M; CBMF Mozambique, a twice Reserve World Champion in harness and winner of the World Champion Junior Gelding title; CMBF Audacious, Reserve Grand National Champion in both Four-Year-Old English Pleasure Stallion/Gelding and Four-Year-Old Pleasure Driving; CBMF Peace Treaty; CBMF Cutting Edge, the 2004 World Champion Yearling Colt; and CBMF Belle Fleur, a top English Pleasure mare.
