Charities to Benefit From Twin Rivers Horse Show

Posted April 4, 2002
The charities to benefit from the Twin Rivers Horse Show this year will be the Delaware Humane Society Horse Rescue Fund, the Animal Injury Fund, the Last Corral (a rescue animal care and adoption place near Athens, Ohio) and the State Equine 4-H program.

Terry Stephenson of Kentucky will be judging the American Saddlebreds, Morgans and hackney ponies.

Friday evening exhibitors will receive a home cooked meal catered by North Star Catering at the exhibitors party.

Eighty-eight new stalls have been added to the Delaware Fairgrounds so that more horses can be accommodated. This will be the second year of the Mr. and Mrs. William Marple Perpetual Trophy for the Amateur of the Year award. Exhibitors will vote on the three nominees - Shirley Dickson, Beth John and Vicki Webb Seimon (Shady Woods Stable).

For more information about the show, contact Leslie Backus at 740-369-2921 or Lillian Baynton at 614-848-4565.
