Champagne To Judge Germantown

Posted May 2, 2002
The Germantown Charity Horse Show will be held June 4 - 8 and will be judged by John Champagne of Somerset, Va. Officials also want to let exhibitors know that they should book their rooms early as a professional boxing match in Memphis is taking a lot of hotel rooms in the area.

The Germantown Charity Horse Show association has been hard at work getting enough funds to rebuild yet another barn on the show grounds and a state-of-the-art Barn B has just been finished for this year's show. The response to the first finished barn in 2001 was very enthusiastic and there's more to come.

This show is an event that truly draws spectators from the community and beyond and is know for its charm and beautiful surroundings. It is unique in that is offers classes for Saddlebreds, Hunter/Jumpers, and Walking Horses. The annual Walking Horse exhibition class featuring the previous year's World Grand Champion always give chills to the large crowd.

Horse show manager Russ Walther announced this year's show will be affiliated with NASCUP, where riders can earn bonus money for their classes. The open stake classes in five-gaited, three-gaited, fine harness, and road horse are among the member events this year.
