CH Royal Crest’s Black Marble Passes Away

CH Royal Crest’s Black Marble (Sultan’s Great Day x Annie Pearl) was humanely laid to rest on August 12, 2013 due to complications from Cushings and other metabolical health issues.  The black gelding was foaled in 1992 and was shown as a show pleasure horse in his early years.  He was purchased as a four year old by Tracy Wagner Mitchell of Pulaski, WI and made the transition to Western Country Pleasure in 1999.   Showcasing the good nature of the American Saddlebred, throughout their career together “Chip” was worked and trained by his amateur owner, Tracy.  The duo would prove to be quite a team, winning the Western Country Pleasure National Championship in 2000 and again in 2002, while adding “CH” status along the way.  Known for their gorgeous outfits and error free rides, Tracy and Chip were crowned Saddle & Bridle Shatner Western Pleasure Finals Champions in 2004 out of a field of 19.  Looking for a new challenge Chip and Tracy added Hunt Seat in 2006, where they continued their winning ways.

Outside the show ring, Chip was always eager to be worked and was endlessly spoiled at the barn.  He will be missed by all who knew him, but most especially his long-time partner Tracy.
