CH Harlem’s Half Moon Dies At 21

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Kerri McDaniel and her family of McDaniel Saddlebreds lost a dear friend on May 2, 2011, with the passing of CH Harlem’s Half Moon. Affectionately known as “Lilly”, this many-titled mare joined the broodmare band at McDaniel Saddlebreds in 2007, after a long and very successful show ring career that included four world championships in three different divisions.

CH Harlem’s Half Moon’s breeding was the best. She was by Harlem Globetrotter and out of Oak Hill’s Moon Magic. Lilly enjoyed her retirement and finished out her show career while at El Dorado Farms and was the picture of health, running in the fields at the time of her sudden and unexpected death.

She leaves behind three promising offspring as her legacy to the McDaniel family and the Saddle Horse community. This talented and versatile mare will long be remembered for her many stunning show ring performances.
