A Cascade Christmas

A brief cool breeze blew in to New Orleans the day of the Cascade Stables annual Christmas party.   It was just chilly enough to set the mood for the holiday spirit and not roast Santa (Dennis Williams) who pulled out his special red suit.

Even with cool weather there was still plenty of roasting in center ring as Cascade customers played out a “not so typical” day at the farm.   The annual skit was filled with material gathered throughout the year.  Next year the tables will turn.   The duties will be put in the hands and crafty minds of the Cascade staff.

There are several new teams and new horses for Team Cascade. William Nalty played Santa’s Elf presenting Right Wing to Taylor Hurd who will show in academy in 8 & under.   Katie Hansche was presented with Captain Morgan and will take the reins in 11 & under academy.

Rachelle Drygalla is teamed up with Optimum Black and will show in 13 & under pleasure equitation.  Elissa Champagne is warming up with her new adult country pleasure teammate Dance Of Dreams.   Elly Lane will take Irish’s Earth Wind And Fire into the adult pleasure division.  And get ready for Bleykhn Doyle who’s eager to trot through the gate with CH Credit Worthy in walk & trot 10 & under.

The show season starts early for Cascade Stables.  After a February clinic with guest instructor Cindy Boel, Team Cascade will hit the road for their first show in March!
