Candids of the Week




? The ASAW Summerfun Junior Exhibitor Park Championship was won by Garrett Weiler and Ro & Me’s Satori. The pair were congratulated by Su Si and Sa Bi who were visiting from Germany and took in their first Saddlebred show. Su Si is a cousin of the Weiler family and Sa Bi was along for some fun.

David Rand presented Queen’s Soul Mate to win New England’s Grand Champion Stallion title for owner/breeder Queens River Farm.


Rowdy and Ready and Deborah Richardson had a solid performance at the Asheville Invitational Horse Show. They won the Adult Five-Gaited Show Pleasure class on Friday afternoon.


Marie Bouvet and Aubrey Behnke (pictured) enjoyed the Asheville Invitational Horse Show. Marie was thrilled with Aubrey and her big moving Double Black Diamond as they won the Amateur Park qualifier. Also showing under the direction of Marie Bouvet, Carol Walker had an excellent debut with Calibogue Charm to win the Novice Rider Three-Gaited Show Pleasure qualifier. Jonathan Retzlaff and Just Surprise Me, another team from Marie Bouvets training program, came away with the reserve honors in the Three-Gaited Stake.


Jimmy, Carolyn and Jessica Sebring joined Alexa Bik following her winning drive with NDT French Impressionist in New England’s Youth Park Harness class. The winning team produced this blue prize for owner Patricia Lloyd and the late Harry Sebring.


Allyson Nord Wandtke and Get Smart put on an outstanding performance as New England’s Three-Year-Old Park Saddle Champions.
