Candids of the Week




?Matt Shiflet Stables ended their Asheville week in tricolor fashion with Matt making Saturday’s final victory pass in the Five-Gaited Championship aboard Roselane’s Angelo for owner Janet Kellett.  Matt was joined by Whitney and Clayton Shiflet at the tackroom after the victory.

Payton Lynn Walker was one out of four teams to capture a tricolor under the DeVore Stables banner on Saturday night.  Walker won the Junior Exhibitor Five-Gaited Championship aboard Callaway’s No More Mr. Nice Guy.  Also victorious were CH High Heat with Blake Crim, Cherish King with Alexis Pearson and Memories Of Cabo and Ali Degray.

Winter Bruggeworth had the catch riding duties this week aboard HS First Day for brother Scotty.  Under the direction of DeLovely the team swept the 14-17 three-gaited show pleasure division.


CH Island Fever’s Getaway and Bjorn Brinkley sped away with the Junior Exhibitor Road Pony Championship unanimously.  The team shows under the Boones Farm banner.  



Ali Degray and Maureen Campbell joined Helen Rich after she returned to the show ring with Heartland High Tech in the Hackney Pony Championship.  Ali also was victorious with “High Tech” as well as Twin Willow’s McDreamy.

Lisa Waller met Reagan Campbell at the gate after she topped the 13 & Under Three-Gaited qualifier unanimously aboard CH Real Action in only their second show together in their debut season.  


Jan Small Beth kicked of a great week for Wingswept Farm winning the Ladies Amateur Three-Gaited qualifier aboard I’m Still Dreaming.  Trainer Stephanie Brannon joined her after the victory.  Later in the week they also won the amateur championship.



Emily Candelaria had an awesome week at Asheville.  She began the week with a winning debut aboard Tango Mango in a single appearance in the 13 & Under Five-Gaited qualifier.  She followed that with the sweep aboard Rondo in the 13 & under three-gaited show pleasure division.  She was joined by trainer Maria Gilman.
