Canadian Road Horse Association Revs Up for Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

ERIN, ON - The Canadian Road Horse Association (CRHA) is revving up for the 2006 Royal Winter Fair in Toronto with a number of exciting classes and activities planned.

2006 Hall of Fame Induction - following the Green Roadster Classic on Saturday, November 4, the CRHA is hosting a Wine and Cheese celebration where our 2006 Hall of Fame inductee, Mary Croft, will be honoured for her accomplishments and contributions to the Association and the road horse.  Please be sure to join us.

OHHA Green Roadster Classic to Bike - nominations are now closed and posted on the CRHA website.  The CRHA is very pleased to announce that there are an outstanding 28 horses nominated this year for this very prestigious class of which 21 have been entered at the Royal.  There will be two qualifying classes held in the afternoon of Friday, November 3.  The top 10 horses will then compete in the Classic final on Saturday night. This class is very generously sponsored by the Ontario Harness Horsemen's Association.  Once again, we thank them for their continuing support and look forward to an exciting class at this fall's Royal Winter Fair!  Following the Classic final, the CRHA is hosting a Wine and Cheese celebration where our 2006 Hall of Fame inductee, Mary Croft, will be honoured.  All OHHA members and supporters are also invited to attend as well as those who donated stallion services for our successful Silent Stallion Auction held this past spring.

Authentic Southern-Style BBQ Dinner - The CRHA is again hosting a terrific dinner at this year's Royal Agricultural Winter Fair on Monday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. in Aisle E at the Thomas Stables.  All are invited. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 for children under 10 and will be available from Kathy Galbraith, Joanne Heath, Laurie Palmer, Helen Thomas, or by contacting Linda Rainey.  Get yours early!!!  Last year's dinner was a huge success with a fantastic meal, and tickets are sure to be at a premium for this year's repeat performance!  Please bring your own chair. 

CRHA Directors Meeting - All directors please note that there will be a meeting held at the Royal in the afternoon on Saturday, November 4 following the Under Wagon class… location to be announced.

OHA Annual Aisle Party - The Ontario Hackney Society would like to invite everyone to their Annual Aisle Party.  It will be held on Friday, November 10 in front on Larry Ella's tack room beginning at
9:00 p.m. following the final Hackney class of the evening.

Royal Agricultural Winter Fair - takes place in
Toronto from November 3 to 12.  Show results will be posted on their web site -  Accepted entries and results can also be viewed at Equestrian Management Group which administers the Horse Show.

Green Class Final - Sat., Nov. 4 - Eve
Ladies Bike - Fri., Nov. 3 - Eve
Under Wagon - Sat., Nov. 4 - Morn
Over Wagon - Sat., Nov. 4 - Aft
Over Bike - Mon., Nov. 6 - Eve
Under Bike - Tues., Nov. 7 - Morn
Wagon Stake - Tues., Nov. 7 - Eve
Bike Stake - Wed., Nov. 8 - Eve 

There are no breeding line classes this year.
