Calvary Episcopal Charity Report and 2009 Dates

In 2008, Calvary Episcopal Charity Horse Show, which is held in Columbia, Missouri in mid-October, surpassed all expectations in difficult economic times. For the second year in a row, the show, which hosts the Missouri Horse Show Association's Saddle Seat and Stock Seat Medallion Finals and the Oklahoma Futurity, along with a full slate of classes for Saddlebreds, ponies, Morgans, Arabians, National Show Horses, and Quarter Horses, sold out of stalls.

As a testament to the great support from exhibitors, the horse community and the Mid-Missouri area, the show raised $18,000, which has been given to four area agencies. Those agencies are The Family Dental Center, Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, Boone Hospital Center's Intergenerational Day Care Center, and the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church's food pantry.

The 2009 show is scheduled for October 15-18. For information, contact Lenard Davenport, show manager, at 417-861-9192 or lendavenport@prodigy.net .
