Callaway’s Wish Me Will Dies




Fred Sarver, manager of Leatherwood Stud in Paris, Ky., announced the sudden and unexpected death of 1996 World’s Champion Five-Gaited Stallion CH Callaway’s Wish Me Will. Owned and bred by Callaway Hills Stable, Wish Me Will was by World’s Grand Champion CH Will Shriver and out of the CH Kourageous Kalu daughter, Wish Me Well. His second dam was the Broodmare Hall of Fame daughter of Colonel Boyle, Look Of Love. In addition to Wish Me Will’s dam, Look Of Love produced Five-Gaited World’s Grand Champion Callaway’s New Look, world’s champion Will’s Tribune, and the amateur gaited champion CH Norton.

The 14 year old stallion only had 31 registered get at the time of his death. He had sired champions Callaway’s Wish Me Luck and Maccager. Sarver also announced there will be frozen semen available for the 2006 breeding season.
