California Futurity Dates and Officials



Show Manager Peter Fenton has announced the selection of prominent trainer Bret Day to judge the 65th Annual California Futurity Horse Show, to be held September 17-19 during the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, California. The show schedule will include three evening performances and a Saturday matinee.

Following the Thursday evening performance, the California Saddle Horse Breeders Association will host a Welcoming Dinner. Friday evening will conclude with a Barn Aisle Party. Exhibitors will be treated to an Ice Cream Social at the conclusion of the Saturday matinee. Saturday evening will feature the West Coast Regional Championships with a total of $11,000 in prize money. An additional $20,000 will be offered in the California Futurity classes for weanlings, yearlings, two-year-olds, and three-year-olds. Other features of the show include the California Amateur Futurity and the popular Corn Dog Classic.

Exhibitors will enjoy the county fair atmosphere and large crowds of spectators. Peter Fenton will announce, and music will be provided by the Rey Vinole Orchestra.
