Bluegrass Futurity Stallion Auction (Updated)

The Bluegrass Futurity will be held for the first time in the beautiful new indoor facility at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. This newly constructed arena is state of the art. Three hundred stalls have been completed and are available for the Kentucky Fall Classic horse show. The Bluegrass Futurity classes will be held Thursday Oct 1st, 2009.

For the first time, the classes will take place in the evening promoting a more elegant setting to promote these young stars of the show ring. Approximately $75,000.00 will be awarded in the weanling class and $25,000 in the Two Year Old Fine Harness class. To date, over $730,000.00 has been awarded in prize money.

Please plan to attend this exciting evening of young horse recognition and plan your breeding selections early for next year’s breeding season. The Auction for the 2010 breeding season will be held immediately following the weanling class on the concourse of the arena.  Some of the top stallions in our industry will be offered.

If you would like to donate a stallion, please contact Melissa Moore at or 859-533-6225. Also, visit the website for more information on this very lucrative program at
