Bluegrass Futurity Makes Exciting Changes

The 2014 Bluegrass Futurity Stallion Auction will begin on Monday January 20th at 8 am eastern time and end Tuesday January 28th at 8 PM eastern time. To date The Bluegrass Futurity has awarded over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in prize money.  We continue to help encourage breeding by rewarding the breeders and stallion owner for their efforts.  The Mare owner will receive 75% of the prize monies while the stallion donor will receive 25% of the prize monies.  Because of the change in the economy and the breeding industry, The Bluegrass Futurity has lowered the cost for the Stallion donor to nominate a mare in foal to their stallion.  Starting this year, with the 2013 mare nominations, it will only cost the Stallion owner $250 to nominate a mare.

Starting with the 2014 class, The Bluegrass Futurity has also changed the Two year old class to be a Two year old snaffle bit, walk and trot class.  The past years, the numbers in the Two year old Fine harness class have been very disappointing, so this change is to encourage showing for a significant amount of prize money.

Please nominate your stallions now by contacting Melissa Moore, [email protected] or 859-533-6225.  Forms can also be downloaded from the website at www.bluegrassfuturity.com.  The Auction site is www.bluegrassfuturityauction.com.  This is a great opportunity to win money and increase the value of your breeding program!
