Big Changes In Store For 2015 Connecticut Morgan Horse Show

Big changes are in store for the 2015 Connecticut Morgan Horse Show to be held June 3-6, 2015 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Ma.

As it has for the past 54 years, the CMHS will spotlight the Morgan horse — one of America’s first breeds and a horse renowned for its beauty and versatility. Show officials are excited to announce that for the first time in the show’s history, they are inviting American Saddlebreds, Hackneys, and Friesians to join the horse show in 2015. In addition to the full lineup of Morgan classes that have always been a staple of the show, the CMHS will now include classes for these other breeds as well as some classes open to all breeds. This is a wonderful opportunity for people outside of the Morgan community to show horses in breed-only classes as well as with Morgans.

Invited to officiate in the main ring are Lisa Cunningham Waller and Jennifer Sommers. Nightly parties, a host of youth activities, and lots of fun are on the schedule as well. Visit the Connecticut Morgan Horse Show page on Facebook for the latest updates or contact show manager Johnna Chenail at 860-304-5077.
