ATTENTION: UPHA American Royal National Championship Exhibitors

ATTENTION UPHA American Royal National Championship Exhibitors: Earlier today it was brought to the American Royal’s attention that exhibitors were being contacted by someone claiming to be affiliated with the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show, or from a “Feed Supply” company, and asking for credit card or other personal information. DO NOT DIVULGE credit card or other personal information to anyone contacting you by phone, text or email. THIS IS A SCAM.

The American Royal Feed Room does not call customers to solicit preorders and will not contact you to ask for a credit card number over the phone. This is a scam that has occurred at numerous competitions this year. The scammers have been contacting trainers and exhibitors, stating they represent a show management company and offer to “confirm” your feed and bedding order. Victims are then asked to provide a credit card to process the fraudulent order.

In a number of instances, the scammers appear to be calling from Georgia or Florida, and have used the following numbers: (404) 983-1520 and (855) 567-8090. Please be aware: They sound convincing and display a reasonable understanding of horse shows and feed/bedding supplies.

If you have been contacted by any of these individuals and provided credit card information you should contact your credit card company or bank immediately.

For questions regarding the show, your stall requirements, payment questions, etc., please contact Danielle Baker, Equine Event Manager at the American Royal at (816) 569-4046.
