ASHBA National and National Amateur Futurities 2021 Weanling Nominations Due March 31

The deadline to nominate weanlings for the ASHBA National and National Amateur Futurities is Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Beginning with this 2021 foal crop, nomination requirements for stallions and mares have been eliminated for the new ASHBA National and National Amateur Futurities.  Moving forward weanling nominations will act as the starting point of the nomination process for futurity horses.  Foals not born will need to be nominated in utero by the March 31 deadline.  A weanling nomination form can be found here.

In 2020, more than $150,000 in prize money was awarded in the Kentucky, Kentucky Amateur and National 3-Year-Old Futurities.

This year, additional prize money will be offered, from the Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund, to the top three highest placed Kentucky-bred weanlings that have met the Kentucky-bred criteria and have been nominated to show in the 2021 National Futurity weanling class. Membership with the Kentucky Saddlebred Owners and Breeders Association (KSOBA) is required.  Additional prize money will also be offered, from the ASHA Stallion Sweeps Program, to nominated yearlings, placing 1st-8th, in the 2021 Kentucky Futurity yearling class at the World’s Championship Horse Show.
