ASHBA Equine Welfare Advocacy Committee Launches 2021 Experience Auction to Benefit Saddlebreds

Bidding Open: July 1, 2021- August 1, 2021

The ASHBA Equine Welfare Advocacy Committee (EWAC) is offering 20 once-in-a-lifetime experiences to benefit EWAC’s efforts in assisting American Saddlebreds in public seizures and welfare cases by providing grants to rescue organizations that help these horses. Last year’s auction raised over $16,000 which helped assist over 60 Saddlebreds from several public seizure cases.

Every year EWAC grants thousands of dollars to assist American Saddlebreds in legal equine welfare cases and through the Bruce Hanson Grant program which assists rescue organizations. This fundraiser will provide much-needed funds to help continue these efforts. EWAC Committee Chair Kathie Dunn Jacobsen and her dedicated committee members work diligently to spearhead programs and assistance efforts to help all American Saddlebreds. We are incredibly grateful to Sandra Currier for organizing this fundraiser and to those that are giving of their time again this year.

This is a rare chance to have a day all to yourself with legends in our community and help us help American Saddlebreds in need. The auction will open on Thursday, July 1 and will run until Sunday, August 1 at midnight. A link to auction is available HERE. All winners will be responsible for their transportation, lodging, and travel expenses. Winners will schedule directly with the experience donors on the days and times.
