ASHBA Announces Select Series National Championship Updates



Excitement is building for the first Select Series National Championship scheduled for Sept. 12-16 at the All American Horse Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., in the brand new Fall Creek Pavilion. Now is the time to ensure your horse can show in these prestigious classes, as the deadline for qualification is Aug. 31, 2023. New program enhancements for 2023 to National Select Series include: 

*A horse that shows in any Select Series qualifying class within the timeframe (winning a ribbon in last year regionals and/or showing in any Select Series class this year) may choose to show in any Select Series National division at the All American Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.

*Classes are now open to Half Saddlebreds that are registered with the ASHBA Registry

*American Saddlebreds and Half Saddlebred can now compete in the same Select Series class 

*New rules and class specifications 

*Concurrent classes are no longer offered in 2023

*Grants available to show to add stand-alone classes 

*National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Equine Discounts program is giving away a John Deere X330 Lawn Tractor with a 42-in deck as part of the Select Series National Championship
-Exhibitors who are at least 18 years of age and entered in the National Championship classes will be automatically eligible for the drawing.

Five-Gaited Amateur/Junior Exhibitor 
Open Pleasure Driving
Three-Gaited Amateur/Junior Exhibitor
ASB Western Country Pleasure 
ASB Hunter Country Pleasure
Open Three-Gaited Park 
Three-Gaited Park Amateur/Junior Exhibitor
Open Walk/Trot Snaffle Bit (Open to any age, professional or amateur)
Five-Gaited Show Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor
Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor 
Open In-Hand
Three-Gaited Country Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor
Open Roadster Pony to Bike
Open Road Horse to Bike
