2008 ASHAV Convention and UPHA 18 Spring Riding Clinic

The 2008 ASHAV Convention will again be held in conjunction with the UPHA Chapter 18 Spring Riding Clinic at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va. on March 14-16.

The UPHA Spring Riding Clinic is sponsored by Chapter 18, Virginia and West Virginia. This year will mark the 15th year in a row for this very special event, and will feature world champion instructors Rob and Sarah Byers.

Private lessons as well as group lessons are offered, and participants have the option of bringing their own horses to get in some real show ring experience. Lesson horses will also be provided. It is an excellent way to brush up for the upcoming show season, work on some problem areas, or just get more riding experience under Rob and Sarah’s expert guidance. Spectators are welcome, too.

For more information on the UPHA Spring Riding Clinic, contact Nancy Troutman at (540) 384-6909 or e-mail MWSINC516@aol.com. Registration must be made in advance.

ASHAV convention activities include the Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday evening, along with several other special awards. Also on Saturday night is the live auction, followed by music & dancing. The annual membership meeting, with election of officers, is scheduled for Sunday, followed by a brunch with the presentation of the ASHAV High Point Awards & Virginia Winter Tournament High Point winners. Additional activities are being planned.

Host hotel is the Comfort Inn. Call (540) 463-7311 for reservations.

For more information about the ASHAV Convention, contact Carol Reedy at (540) 982-0581 or e-mail walktrot@cox.net.
