ASHA of NJ Banquet and Awards Celebration

The ASHA of NJ Banquet and Awards celebration was held on January 20th at the Beaver Brook Country Club in Flemington, NJ. The banquet was very well attended with members from each of the regional barns. During a delicious buffet luncheon horses and riders were presented with awards from ASHA of NJ, ASHA State Pleasure Horse Division and ASHA Regional/National High Point Division. In addition World and National Champions were recognized for their achievements.

After the awards Jessie Richardson as Chair of the Jersey Classic Horse Show Committee discussed the importance of our local and regional shows in grooming new riders and horses while exposing attendees to all the sport has to offer.  She stressed how these shows are the foundation of our industry and the cornerstone for the perpetuation of future equestrians. Sponsorship and attendance was strongly encouraged to ensure the continued success of our chapter’s show.

Throughout the banquet various fundraisers included a Chinese auction that included a variety of baskets and gifts, a 50/50 raffle, and a live auction for top-label purses, custom horse prints, weeks of horse camp, and opportunities to ride a top show horse. All proceeds will go toward the Jersey Classic Horse Show that will be held June 8th  & 9th at the Horse Park of NJ. We hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations to all ASHA of NJ Winners and Good Luck to All in 2013!
