ASHA of NJ Academy Tournament Show

The American Saddlebred Horse Association of New Jersey is pleased to report that our second Academy Tournament Horse Show, held at the Alexandria Township Park, was a huge success! On Sunday, November 9, the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Saddlebred community came out in full force for a day of fun and competition. In attendance were riders from Wentz Stables Orefield, PA; Royal Crest Stables, Titusville, NJ; Revelation Farm, Frenchtown, NJ; Smoke Hollow Farm, Pittstown, NJ, and North Wind Stables, Hardwick, NJ. The day included a full academy program for all levels and ages of riders. In addition to academy classes, there were open English, western and hunt seat pleasure, open equitation and walk and trot classes. This year also presented the debut of a Saddlebred rescue class reserved for entries adopted from, or waiting adoption from Saddlebred Rescue, Inc.

Stephanie Presuto, of Revelation Farm, was a name to remember for the day as winner of the academy walk, trot and canter championship as well as the pleasure and equitation qualifiers. Val Nuno of Wentz Stables made an impressive finish in the open English pleasure championship in a field of 8. Courtney Kramlik brought a smile to everyone’s face in the walk only lead line event. ASHA of NJ is planning a 2009 tournament for early spring. If you are interested in attending, please contact Jessie Richardson @ 908-391-5348.
