Family Picnic at the Lexington Junior League Horse Show



The American Saddlebred Museum, Junior League of Lexington and American Saddlebred Horse Association are partnering for Family Night at the 82nd Annual Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show.

Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to a Family Picnic on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Meet the American Saddlebred Horse Association’s new Executive Director, Terri Dolan at the American Saddlebred Museum at 4083 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Guests will get a first look at the Museum’s newly renovated Gift Shop and gallery and a chance to visit the featured exhibit Red Mile Reminisces: A Look Back at the Lexington Junior League Horse Show. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a summer supper served in a custom cooler bag, along with complimentary tea, water, and lemonade, set against the backdrop of a live music by Stephanie Jeter and Sam Gleaves. A cash bar will be available. 

The League will be hosting its traditional Stick Horse Race at 6:30 p.m. in the Rolex Stadium as well as other family friendly activities.  

Family Night activities are free, picnic dinners are available for advance purchase ($15 and $5 kids meal) on the Museum’s website https://www.asbmuseum.org/ until July 3. Family Night activities do not include admission the Horse Show (general admission $5 Monday through Thursday and $10 on Friday and Saturday, children under age six are free) or the Stick Horse Race, which is an additional $5. General admission tickets must be purchased separately from the Junior League at the Show’s entry gate, and Stick Horse Race registration is available on the League's website https://www.lexjrleague.com/. Parking is available at the Museum and in the Horse Show parking.
