ASHA Board Candidate Spotlight - Donna Pettrey-Smith

During the next two weeks, the American Saddlebred Horse Association is pleased to introduce to you its 12 Board of Directors candidates.
Of these 12 outstanding candidates, seven will be elected to the Board. Voting is now open to all 2014 ASHA Life, Contributing, Senior, and Charter Club Affiliate members over the age of 18. Members may vote online for up to seven candidates by logging in with their ASHA credentials. Complete biographies for each candidate are available for review at the online site. Online voting will be open until MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2014
Donna Pettry-Smith – New Lenox, IL
Donna Pettry-Smith is an owner and manager of Skyline Stables in Illinois, where she serves as a trainer and riding instructor. She has served as a member of the Board of IASPHA for over 10 years, and she previously served as the UPHA Equitation Committee Chair. Donna is a member of the ASHA Charter Club Council, and the IASPHA’s Horse Show Committee. She is a member of the UPHA, the AHHA, and the RHPA.
Donna has a high level of expertise in financial, organizational and communication skills, and has been involved in developing innovative programs for American Saddlebreds.
If elected to the ASHA Board, Donna would be particularly interested in fundraising. Donna’s vision for the ASHA is to focus on the promotion of the breed.
