The 31st Annual Southeastern Charity Horse Show Blue Ribbon Day Scheduled for September 21, 2002

The 31st Annual Southeastern Charity Horse Show is scheduled for September 18-21, 2002 at the Georgia International Horse Park, located in Conyers, GA. Blue Ribbon Day is held in association with the Southeastern Charity Horse Show and coincides with the show’s Saturday matinee activities. Proceeds from this event benefit more than 150 community partners of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc.

Blue Ribbon Day is a family-oriented activity day from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Horse Park on Saturday, September 21, 2002. The family-style atmosphere features fun for the children of all ages and includes face painting, a horse-shoe toss, an art contest, and cookie decorating. Lunch can be purchased at the event. Every child attending Blue Ribbon Day will receive a blue ribbon to commemorate the event.

While the children play, parents can shop at the silent auction.

This year’s Silent Auction will be held in the Legacy Room from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm also on Saturday, September 21, 2002. This year’s auction features a wide variety of merchandise, including decorator items, restaurant gift certificates, sports memorabilia, tickets to special events, fabulous vacations and an area with specially selected items for horse enthusiasts.

This nationally recognized horse show is sanctioned by USA Equestrian and is sponsored by the Junior League of Atlanta, which focuses its volunteer efforts on benefiting the health, education, and welfare of women and children.

Show times are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:00 with matinees on Friday at 11:00 am and Saturday at 10:00 am. Tickets for evening performances are $5 each while tickets for matinee events are available at no charge. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge. Tickets can be purchased at the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., (404) 261-7799.
